DMD 161 - Evidence-Based Oral Health
This course serves as an introduction to biomedical informatics, information literacy, and evidence-based practice. This course is designed to develop skills in defining primary biomedical literature, searching both basic science and clinical resources, identifying evidence-based information, forming a clinical question, critically appraising the literature, and evaluating and applying levels of evidence in clinical decision-making. Course objectives are accomplished through lectures, individual and group projects, presentations, worksheets, quizzes and a final examination.
