DMD 141 - Human Anatomy I



This course presents the anatomical structures of the human body. Students will learn the structural perfection of the body systems and regions and how they are integrated to perform specific functions. Anatomical structures of the limbs, thorax, abdomen, and pelvis will be studied along with a more thorough exploration of the anatomy of the head and neck. Students will gain practical human anatomy understanding through the privilege of dissecting donor bodies in the laboratory. Active learning techniques will be employed to encourage student participation throughout the learning process. Concurrent instruction with the medical school students will provide an interprofessional education experience.
