PEDS 410s - Adolescent Medicine



This sub-internship clerkship introduces students to the unique medical and emotional problems of the adolescent age group within the framework of normal growth and development. Training may encompass a range of experiences including obtaining patient histories, performing thorough physical examinations, formulating differential diagnoses, learning to make decisions based on appropriate laboratory and radiological studies and procedures, communicating with patients and members of the health care team at a more advanced level than the elective clerkship offering. Repeatable for credit with permission.
